Islam is the second largest religion after Christianity. The city also has the largest Jewish community in Spain, with an estimated 3,500 Jews living in the city. ==Catholic== In 2011, 49.5% of Barcelona's residents identify themselves as Catholic. As for the results broken down by geographic areas, it notes that, in Barcelona, has crossed a psychological boundary. For the first time, more than half of respondents (50.5%) claims not to be Catholic, while recognized as Catholics just under half (49.5%).〔 Increasingly fewer Spaniards are Catholic, and they also are increasingly practitioners. These are data from a survey of Catholicism and religious practice that collects InfoCatólica, which also finds first decline of Catholics under 50% of the population in Barcelona and 45% at young people between 14 and 25 throughout the territory.〔
